Hello everyone, nearly 20 years ago the anime masterpiece Noir was first shown to the world and changing our lives. What ideas do people have for celebrating the occassion?

Well, we do have a group rewatch planned, though it's still a few months away. ;)

I think it's also a good occasion to try and introduce noir to any family and friends who haven't seen it yet. :D

How will the rewatch be timed? Will there be an attempt to match the original air dates, or will episodes be viewed in groups?

We're not following the original air dates, we'll just get to it whenever we're done with Madlax and Murder Princess. The Noir rewatch will be split into 8 sessions, we'll watch 4 episodes for the first and last and 3 episodes for every other session (Madlax episode schedule for reference). The times will be decided according to everyone's convenience, but I believe we'll be aiming for Friday evenings US time from now on.

I don't know if I can do a rewatch that soon, especially if the Covid-19 related restrictions of social life continue. The emotional impact is so strong.

As I already wrote in the "non licensed merchandise" thread, I will try to get the guns of Noir next year. I wasn't aware that it will be the year of the 20th anniversary as I made this decision, but now I will take it as my personal celebration.
