"Splendid!", SPEEDY exclaims, as you sit down. The robot waiter arrives, placing four waters on the table. "Welcome to TRAIN Restaurant & Bar."
An interactive screen appears on the table in front of each guest, displaying the MENU. You can scroll through it and select whatever items you want.
"You may input your order on the screen in front of you. Please let me know if you got any special requests, food allergies, or dietary restrictions. Thank you."

Mireille takes a bit longer to unpack than you do. That doesn't surprise you, she is rather fashionable and was never one to pack lightly.
"I hope I have enough for 10 days. One bag is cutting it a bit short...", she sighs, as she finishes putting away her wardrobe.
She takes out her laptop and opens her email. You wonder if she's planning on doing some work. You finish your tea.
Sensing your gaze, Mireille looks back at you. She smiles, closes the laptop, and puts it away on the desk.
"This can wait.", she decides, "Do you wanna go out and explore the train? I could use some coffee."

*Kirika nods in her usual way and Mireille knows that means yes and she puts her gaze at Prince Myshkin wondering if he likes to wander out of the carriage as well. Then her mind wanders whether to have tea or coffee*

Elenore presses the button for Chicken and Waffles. "I assume there's a version for full-body cyborgs?"

"Correct. TRAIN is offering the latest developments in food science, suitable for both organic and cybernetic organisms.", the waiter informs you.
"Right, I read something about that.", SPEEDY comments while browsing the menu, "Nei here is pretty excited to try all sorts of new food!"
"I'd like ice cream and soda and fries!", Nei requests enthusiastically. She may be a Doll, but she orders food just like a real child.
SPEEDY chuckles amused, "I'll have the bacon & eggs & toast. And a coffee, please.", he presses the corresponding buttons.
"Steak. Rare. Hold the lobster. Side of bread. Glass of milk.", Layla orders slowly, after struggling with the screen.
"Anything else?", the robot waiter asks you in particular, noticing you didn't order anything to drink.

[Pulsen]

"Coffee please," Elenore says as the robot waits for her drink order.

@Speedy "Our company developed food and drink for cyborgs at nearly the same time that prosthetic bodies were invented."

"Your order will be ready shortly. Thank you for your patience.", the waiter confirms, then returns to the kitchen to work on your food and drinks.
"That makes sense.", SPEEDY reacts to your remark, "I have always been partial to treating humans and cyborgs as equals myself.", he adds.
"I believe any developments that further blur the lines between the two will bring us closer to our next stage as a species!", he rejoices.
"But enough of my musings.", he chuckles humbly, "Please, tell us about yourself and your company, Elenore!", he asks politely.

speaks with a posh British accent because the programmers of his cybernetic speech collar thought it would be funny

emerges from his carrier and shakes "Good to be out of there, eh? So this...is a nice carriage here! I think I can get comfortable here. Do you two have your own separate room, or...?"

"Your order will be ready shortly. Thank you for your patience.", the waiter confirms, then returns to the kitchen to work on your food and drinks.
"That makes sense.", Speedy reacts to your remark, "I have always been partial to treating humans and cyborgs as equals myself.", he adds.

"But enough of my musings.", he chuckles humbly, "Please, tell us about yourself and your company, Elenore!", he asks politely.

"I also agree that cybernetics is the way to go. I was involved with creating the Elenore body type of prosthetic body as my original body was used as the base. I'm a prosthetic body engineer at the company. Wilfong Cybernetics created the synthetic prosthetic body decades ago and is one of the leading manufacturers. The standard body types were created not too long ago to make affordable bodies for countries with Universal Healthcare. I was selected as a model for one of the bodies due to my athletic build."

[MAP] [Kirika] [Myshkin]

"Very funny.", Mireille replies, "You're lucky they even allow pets on this TRAIN.", she's still not quite used to hearing a cat talk, but she knows it's important for Kirika.
"You can come with us to the restaurant, just try not to knock any glasses off the table, please.", she warns their feline companion. She then finishes getting ready in the bathroom.
Mireille fixes her makeup in the mirror then grabs her purse and prepares to leave. "Sorry to keep you waiting.", she wraps her arm around Kirika's as the group walks out to the restaurant.

You make your way down the hallway and, a few doors down your room, you come across a man and a woman talking. You see a robot dog, standing close and alert right behind the woman.
Mireille and Kirika immediately identify the woman and dog as DOG unit police officers. At some point in your past this might have been a cause for alarm, but not anymore.
You chose to walk away from your dark past, and this job offer at Bee City is just the opportunity you needed to start embracing this new chapter of your lives.
The DOG looks at Myshkin briefly, thoroughly scanning him. He then turns his head away, having determined his cybernetic implants will pose no threat.
"Maybe he wants to be friends.", Mireille teases Myshkin further, knowing despite his higher intelligence he's still instinctively afraid of dogs.

[Elenore]

"That's very noble, Elenore. I can tell you're passionate about it. And I can see why Bee City would want to recruit you. I wish you all the best in all your future endeavors!"
SPEEDY praises, effusively. While you talk, Nei and Layla play thumb war to pass the time. "I got you!", Nei exclaims happily, as Layla lets her win every single time.
"You're too strong for me.", Layla declares, humbly. This is the first time you've seen her smile or express any sort of emotion. The two of them seem very close.

Meanwhile, the waiter has returned with your order, placing all the dishes and drinks in front of each of you. The service is faster than you expected.
"Enjoy your meal! Please press the call button on the menu screen if you need anything else. Thank you.", the waiter informs you, then returns to the kitchen.
As you try the food and drink in front of you, you find the flavours and aromas indistinguishable from the regular food you used to enjoy back when you were organic.

As the man leaves the car, the officer lady eyes you with curiosity. You sense instant chemistry between the two of you, though you have been wrong about such things before...
"Quite a character... I wonder who he bribed to get a ticket on this TRAIN?", she privately mocks him, making sure you alone, and no one else, can hear your conversation.
"I'm Limelda Jorg.", she introduces herself, extending her hand, "I'm also on vacation, but I was offered a small advance to keep an eye on things during this trip."
"Even with all this technology, our generous patrons at Bee City can't bring themselves to trust AI and robots alone.", she remarks in a slightly amused tone.
"What brings you here, mister...?", she subtly asks your name. Your charm and charisma seem to already be working on the ladies on this TRAIN, you think.

"Well artificial intelligence is no match for natural beauty such as yourself.  *kisses her hand naturally* What brings me here is for you to arrest me, because I'm criminally good looking and well TRAINed for love." *bemused smile with charming eyes

"I'm Carrossea Doon, renowed lover of the women of the world. Cassanova 2.0, investor beyond the TECH moguls of the 21st century and a man with GIFT beyond your imagination" *wink wink*

"How about a drink with me at the Bar, you can't really vacate your senses without a little alcohol? Live life off the rails and make some honey before we get to Bee City hmmm?" *in a suggestive tone*

"Oh Mireille" *rubs her shoulder on Mireille to stop the silliness and soothe Mireille a bit. She picks up Prince Myshkin and holds him.* "Let's get you some milk when we get to the restaurant Myshkin"

*Kirika smiles at Mireille and tilts her head a little on Mireille as they continue walking*

[Forlorn Hope]

"I'm at the first table on the left!", SUBARU replies. You leave your room. A man and a woman seem to be talking right outside your door. You walk around them, trying not to intrude.
You notice a Doberman Pinscher DOG. He must be with the woman, who looks like a police officer. He looks in your direction and scans you briefly, then turns his head back.
You make your way to the restaurant, it's pretty roomy, with several tables and a bar. There's a group of four on the right and one man at the end of the bar.
A girl about your age sits at the first table on your left, she must be SUBARU. She adjusts her glasses, noticing you. "TSUKASA?", she asks hesitantly.

[TSUKASA] "SUBARU?" *she tries to casually sit down across from her but almost misses the chair* "I didn't expect to see you on this train when you told me about the job opportunity in Bee City. Why are you here?"

[MAP] [Doon]

"Arrest you, huh?", Limelda takes out her handcuffs, playfully dangling them in front of you. DOG quickly scans you, focusing his menacing glowing green eyes on you.
"Perhaps later...", she puts her cuffs away and DOG ceases staring at you, realizing you pose no real threat. His AI seems too basic to pick up human innuendo.
"It's a bit early for me, but I'll take you up on that drink. I'm bored out of my mind and you seem like an interesting man, Carrossea. Lead the way."

You walk together to the bar. There's a group of four on the right, a young couple on the left, and that guy who bumped into you earlier is sitting alone at the bar.
You sit at the last table on the right. A couple of women with a cat just walked in behind you. They sit across from you. DOG seems interested in their cat.
The MENU appears on a screen in front of you. While you're browsing, a robot waiter appears to take your order. "Welcome to TRAIN Restaurant & Bar."

"You may input your order on the screen in front of you. Please let me know if you got any special requests, food allergies, or dietary restrictions. Thank you."
"I'll have a BLT and a black coffee.", she hesitates, pressing the buttons on the screen, "Pour a shot of scotch in it.", she adds, "I'm on vacation after all."
"Would your DOG like anything?", the waiter asks, noticing DOG is not equipped with digits or a speech function, therefore unable to order for himself.
"My partner DOG is old school, he doesn't need to eat or drink. He's a well-calibrated weapon, not a pet, not a toy.", she proudly informs the waiter.
"Understood, ma'am.", the waiter nods politely, as he registers that information on his database. "And what can I get you, sir?", he turns to you.

The three of you walk into the restaurant. It's filling up as the morning approaches afternoon. You take the fifth table on the left.
Across from you sits that group you saw earlier in the hallway, a man, a woman officer, and her DOG partner. The DOG is staring at Myshkin.
The MENU appears on a screen in front of you. While you're browsing, a robot waiter appears to take your order. "Welcome to TRAIN Restaurant & Bar."
"You may input your order on the screen in front of you. Please let me know if you got any special requests, food allergies, or dietary restrictions. Thank you."

"Eggs Benedict. And...", Mireille seems undecided, "You know, I was thinking coffee, but your cocktails look spectacular. I'll have a Bloody Mary instead."
Rather unusual for Mireille to drink alcohol first thing in the morning, but you sense she's feeling a little tense and looking to relax and unwind.
"Yes ma'am.", the waiter replies to Mireille, then turns to Kirika, "What can I get you, miss?", he waits for your order, then turning to Myshkin.
"And the gentleman?", he asks politely, realizing the cat has a speech collar and therefore should be addressed as a person and not a pet.
