Well, I bought volume 7 with box and 10 hopefully with box. Play Asia needs to specify if they do or don't have the special edition version of volume 10. If it doesnt come with the box, I'll proboly return it. Otherwise and anyway, scans shall be coming soon.

Also, why did I not know that every third disk or so came with a pamphlet? I know I'm planning on buying all the disks, but 13 page pamphlets get top priority on the buy list. After the Rosenburg x L.A. box of course.

~$60per dvd x 13 disks...$780. The disks are 2-3 bucks cheaper eachso use that as the cost of shipping from play aisa. I'm taking my time to get these.... 4/13 bought!

The thought of license is now looking further and further like a dream now.  ADV is on hard times now.  Now they will have to be very very picky with what they license.

Feh on the ADV Releases! I just got myself Limited Boxes!

Scans will probably be up on r339 by tomorrow.

Any requests on resolutions?
I saw someone had a blog hoping that the L.A. x Ricardo box would pop up in 600 dpi...

I believe the region code in Japan is the same as the US, but I'm not sure. I'm currently hunting for good raws myself; will let you know if I have any progress.

I think Japan is region 2 and the US is region 1.

I read somewhere else that Funimation picked up some of ADVs animes...if that's true, maybe they will do the same for El Cazador. *hopes*

It's actually pretty simple: most stand-alone DVD players have "secret" remote control codes that allow you to modify the region code, even allowing you to make your player code-free. Just google it. ;)

Also, while it is not possible from Windows to watch DVDs from a different region without changing the region on the DVD drive itself (you can do this only a couple of times before it's permanent), Linux tends to ignore such limitations at all and makes everything run in any virtually any way imaginable. You can even copy the whole DVD to a new one with only three commands, getting rid of region codes entirely.  8)

EDIT: Oh and before you start telling me: I know it is illegal to copy copy-protected DVDs. However I say if you paid for the DVD and for having it imported AND the DVD is not available in your region at all AND you are only using it for yourself there is no shame in doing so.
