I try my best to wrestle my sword away from Sora, but his grip is too strong. I see the woman recover quickly from her blow and make her move against his tail.
That's it...his tail! He won't as much range without it!
I let go of my sword and run in the direction of the tail, dodging his attacks using my newfound agility. Once I get close to the tail, I summon my sword to me, freeing it from Sora's hold, and I strike it as hard as I can!

You pick up Sora's weapon, discarding the dead hand. You slide the metal guard around your arm and grab the grip, the blade sits above your knuckles.
It's some sort of push dagger, you can extend and retract it at will. It's not a weapon you are very familiar with, but it's better than nothing.
As you start stabbing, you soon realize his exoskeleton is quite tough and not easily pierced. You aim for his human torso, his back and neck in particular.
His vitals are up high and slightly above your reach, and he's annoyingly nimble, but after a few jump attacks you manage to graze his left shoulder.
He bleeds but has not lost mobility on his arm. He glances back at you, annoyed, and swats you away with his powerful tail, sending you flying into a wall.
You hit the wall hard, but the spell Tsukasa cast on you has drastically increased your durability. You feel the pain, but recover from it quickly.
That tail has to go! I attack the tail trying to cut it off with the katar (the knife you were describing earlier). Hopefully, this gives Mimiru enough of a distraction so she can land a decent or even killing blow. I wish I had some sort of super power outside of my martial arts. I can't even do ki blasts which would've been cool.

You block Sora's attack, but he's able to grab your blade with both pincers. You're stuck, unable to overpower him. You might have to strategically let go of your sword.
Elenore's attack momentarily distracts him, but he's quick to counter with his tail, throwing her into a wall. His tail is dangerous, maybe you should try to disable it.

"WHOA!" I shout, dodging his claw swipes and deflecting one with my sword. "Jeez. Now I know this is a simulation of some kind!"
I heed the other woman's call to me.
"Hell yeah," I say, readying my sword for an offensive strike. "I'm gonna cut you down, Sora. I don't care how many legs you have."
I run in, defending against his claw attacks, and I go for the legs, hoping to knock him over and make him vulnerable.

While he's distracted I grab the weapon and stabbing his vital areas. "He's trying to get in your head. Face your fear and overcome it!" I say as I continue to stab him. I want this fight to end so I can bring Margaret to a room or have Tsukasa revive her.

You attack with all your strength and resolve, just as Sora is going for a stab attack. He is too preoccupied with Elenore to notice you. You cut off his right hand, just above the elbow.
His severed hand, along with his weapon, fall to the ground, right in front of Elenore. Purple blood gushes from his stump. Sora stares confused at where his hand used to be.
"Shit, that's annoying...", he looks at you, mildly irritated, "So you finally decided to play? Feeling brave, are you? Well, I've got something just for you!", he grins.
As soon as he's done speaking, Sora starts undergoing an horrific transformation, his body loudly cracking and twisting, expanding and taking a new shape.
He has kept his human head and torso but his arms and hands have turned into powerful pincer claws, including the right one you severed.
From the waist down, his body has become like that of a scorpion, with eight legs, a long tail, and a scary looking sting.
Sora snaps his claws and laughs triumphantly, savoring his new power. "I'm gonna cut you into tiny little pieces, Mimiru!"
He rushes at you, surprisingly fast for his size, trying to grab you with his menacing looking claws.
You fought several creatures since your arrival, but none as horrific as this nightmare.
