New Forum Game! ;D

I'm sure most of you are familiar with this game, but if not, this site will give you an idea!

Rules are very simple: Someone posts a "Would you rather..." question and anyone else can answer it. Whoever answers it posts the next question.

If you're out of ideas feel free to use an example from the page above. :)

MADLAX / Dear Margaret (MADLAX fanfic)

This is a very corny Romance/WAFF/Yuri/Slash fanfiction featuring the Elenore/Margaret pairing.

Why so corny? Because I like to make the characters happy. :-X

This fanfiction will be split into three chapters.

The first chapter takes place after Elenore saves Margaret from being molested by Maurice Lopez in episode 6. It was written and first published on 5 March 2009.

The second chapter takes place immediately after. Elenore and Margaret explore their recently established romantic relationship. It was written and first published on 11 January 2010.

The final chapter takes place after the end of the series. There's a huge time skip and you can assume the whole anime went on as canon with the exception of Margaret and Elenore secretly being a couple the whole time. It was written and first published today. :V

The narration is always made from Elenore’s point of view.

Please feel free to read and review. Hope you all enjoy it! ^^

El Cazador de la Bruja / El Cazador's 10th Anniversary

It's time to rewatch the last chapter of our favorite Girls-with-Guns trilogy! :D

However, unlike what we previously did for Noir and Madlax, we're gonna go with the 10th Anniversary of the original Japanese TV broadcast, since the US release only happened in 2009, and ain't nobody got time to wait till 2019! :V Also, instead of aiming for specific DVD release dates, we're gonna schedule our sessions as often as possible, according to everyone's availability. This seems to work the best as of late. ^^

First of all, raise your hand and let us know in this thread if you'd like to join this rewatch, so everyone will know in advance whether to wait for you or not. :)

Secondly, if you don't own the DVDs, here are a few alternative streaming options:

And lastly, here is an initial plan for the episode schedule:

Rewatch 1: Episodes 01 to 04 (DVD 1)
Rewatch 2: Episodes 05 to 07 (DVD 1)
Rewatch 3: Episodes 08 to 10 (DVD 2)
Rewatch 4: Episodes 11 to 13 (DVD 2)
Rewatch 5: Episodes 14 to 16 (DVD 3)
Rewatch 6: Episodes 17 to 20 (DVD 3)
Rewatch 7: Episodes 21 to 23 (DVD 4)
Rewatch 8: Episodes 24 to 26 (DVD 4)

This schedule is designed to better conform to Funimation's DVD release, but we can be flexible. :-X

Since it was brought up in chat, and following the trend of having Christmas preparations start earlier with each passing year, here you have the Super Special Awesome BTF Christmas Card Exchange 2016! ;)

If you want to participate all you have to do is send me your name and address on PM and after I gather everyone's details I'll send out a general PM to all the people involved. Whatever you wanna send (cards, letters, drawings, gifts, etc) is entirely optional and left to your imagination and affordability. The important is to share the Christmas spirit and have fun with it! ;D

If you're interested please try to send me your details till October 31. I'll send the general PM on November 1st so everyone will have time to prepare and send their stuff on time. :D

I still have all the previous year addresses, so if you haven't moved since then and you're feeling lazy just let me know here. 8)

Now that we're caught between rewatching Madlax and El Cazador, it seems as good a time as any other to get started on yet another Non-Bee Train Anime Rewatch! 8)

According to the results from this poll, Saber Marionette J should be our next choice. :)

If you don't own the DVDs you can download the dual audio version (Japanese/English) here.

Or you can watch it on youtube here. (English Only)

I personally would recommend the Japanese version... :V

Since the series is 25 episodes long I also suggest we try to cover 5 episodes in each session, but let me know if you think this is too strenuous. ^^

Avenger / Avenger Fanart

Surprisingly, I haven't drawn much Avenger fanart so far, even though it's one of my favorite Bee Train shows.

Here is my first contribution: Avenger Z

I've always been a huge DragonBall fan so I had this idea for a crossover fanart a while back, thinking it would be interesting to mix two shows which have little in common but are very dear to me in their own different ways. I figured it would be cute to have Layla and Nei cosplaying as Goku and Gohan (father and son), since the two kinda look and act like mother and child in Avenger.

Since a bunch of us here are big fans of this series I figured that we would need a thread for it sooner or later. ;D

For those not familiar, the current series are, in chronological order, Aria the Animation, Aria the Natural, Aria the OAV ~Arietta~ and Aria the Origination, all among my top rated favorites. Given the amazingly consistency in quality, depth and continuity of its parts, it seems only logical for me to consider Aria as a whole. Not being a huge manga reader myself, my praise also extends towards the breathtakingly beautiful manga. ^^

I also specifically want to bring attention to the upcoming sequel ARIA The AVVENIRE, coming up on 26th September of 2015, as you might have heard. I just came across a short trailer and a page with the new character designs! It's not much to go by, but gives us something to look forward to. :)

Feel free to comment or add anything about any aspect of this amazing master piece! Embarrassing remarks are allowed! :D

MADLAX / Madlax's 10th Anniversary of the English Release

Following our forum rewatching traditions, we have been planning to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the English release of Madlax, the second installment of everyone's favorite Girls-with-Guns trilogy and one of the most relevant Bee Train works to date! So put on your red shoes, bring out the pasta and make it rain! 8)

The idea is to get through the whole show sparsely, each volume at a time, 10 years after their release. Here are the original dates:

Madlax - DVD 3 The In-Between --- 2005-08-16

Due to everyone's different schedules we won't be aiming for those exact dates but we'll instead use them as reference and try to work around it for everyone's convenience. ^^

You are also strongly encouraged to watch or rewatch it on your own if you prefer, at your own pace, and post your insights in this thread! ^^

Since we'll sooner or later run out of bee train shows to rewatch, and some members not always join the bee train rewatches anyways, here's an exciting suggestion:

If you're interested, and have availability to join, first of all raise your hand and say "I'm in!" 8)

Now that we got that out of the way, feel free to start posting any suggestions for anime shows you would like to watch with everyone here. :D

You may suggest tv shows, ovas, movies, or whatever. :V

Doesn't particularly matter if you've seen it before or not, though if you plan to rewatch something mind the spoilers, when discussing it among people who'd be watching it for the first time. ^^

Still no dates in view. Just getting things started ahead to give everyone enough time to think it through and so we can choose something that would please most people. :)
