El Cazador dub
« on: October 24, 2009, 07:01:42 PM »
so I saw the first episode today OnDemand and I really enjoyed it.  Mind you this is also the first time I'm seeing the show in whole PERIOD.  Yes I've waited two years for this!  I like the dubbed version quite a bit but I don't have a real comparison as I haven't watched it in Japanese.  The character voices seem to fit quite well, Maxey Whitehead's performance of Ellis almost reminds me of Monica Rial's performance of Kirika, soft spoken, subtle, with the detection of vulnerability.  She seems to fit the part of Ellis.  Nadie is really good too , Trina Nishimura makes her spunky and bold and fun.

And I had to breath a deep sigh of relief that they didn't pull another Tsubasa dub on me by mysteriously erasing the vocal track of the insert song, yeah that just pissed me off  >:(.

It's a bit early to say how the overall quality of the dub will be, I think it will get stronger as the episodes go on and the cast gets a feel for the characters.

Those are just my two cents on the first episode dubbed.

It seems that Funimation always has really good dubs. El Cazador, Murder Princess, Sgt. Frog, One Piece, etc. They do their job well. :D

I'm gonna check this out, but probably not on Funimation's official site. It's highly unreliable.

I can't watch dubs and I can't watch Cazzy one episode at a time... that's just cruel  :'(

But seriously, I'm happy that they're realeasing a dub ahead of the official release. Maybe lisencers are catching on to the fact that minor releases of this kind increase interest and ultimately, sales ;)

These are starting to come up at YouTube now for those who don't want to go through FUNimation.  Again I don't know if everyone can access these.
