As it turns out there is a fair bunch of BioWare fans among the Bee Train fans, so here is a thread to discuss their games, most recent being Dragon Age II. ^^

One requirement though: I still haven't started DA2 so please tag all spoilers properly...

I skipped the expansion packs, lol.

ToB is worth finishing though replaying Shadows of Amn is much more fun imho. Also Icewind Dale (original) is much better than IWD II, but they're both a bit hack and slash compared to Baldur's Gate, which actually has a storyline (and a good one). The lack of a "protagonist" makes a big difference.

Also, Jade Empire was well worth the time (played it through thrice) though it's very short.

I didn't stick with NwN either. Art just wasn't as good as BG II... and the voice acting was sparse and badly done.

I must admit that, of the above, I never played KotOR II.

So, I've made yet another bishie green-eyed warrior and started playing. This time, however, he is a redhead, to boot. Cheesy

EDIT: Can someone please, please make a Bethany Romance Mod? -__- They made one for Imoen... >__>

I made one for Nalia...

anyway, the dialogue options seem to be arranged a bit differently in DragonAge; one thing nice about Black Isle is that they practically encouraged you to reverse engineer their games ^^

Hmmm. I've just spent 14 hours straight playing DA2, grinded to level 11, completed all the quests I could find, hired all the companions except Sebastian... and I am about to embark on the Deep Roads Expedition with 46 GP to spare. And some idiots call it a bad game. Cheesy

Also, don't you just love how Isabela turns every possible topic into a sexual innuendo? :3

I have a massive Mass Effect/2 obsession going on right now. I think when 3 comes out Joe (one of my "adopted" siblings) and I are going to go to the midnight release party (they always have on the eve of big game titles dropping at our local game store) and geek out with the other fans. (I've always been to shy to do that before, but for ME3, I will)

As for Dragon Age II, I'm currently

Has anyone noticed how similar the exploration ambient music/sound in DA2 is to that in ME2?

Yeah! Bioware learned a lot of good things from ME2 when they did DA2. I like hearing the sassy responses my female mage gives rather than just the responses of the other character like in DA1.

I was wondering when protagonist vocal response was going to make it back into a Bioware game ^^ it's been a while...

I usually use the Planescape: Torment voice of "Annah" (Sheena Easton) for Sjarna. My personal favourite is her randomly saying "You know that feeling, like you're bein' watched? Ye are."

I had an idea of X-Files and Mass Effect crossover, where MaleShep = Mulder, Liara = Scully, Illusive Man = CSM, Anderson = Skinner, and Reapers = Colonists. Yay or no yay? Cheesy

Oh, and Alex Krycek = Conrad Verner. Tongue

I'm a little disappointed that they just recycled some dungeons for multiple quests though. You'd think they'd have learned a bit from ME1.
