DAII has "Mark of the Assassin" DLC coming October 11. There's a trailer out. Looks interesting. I have a feeling it'll be kind of like the ME 2 "Stolen Memory" DLC, based on Hawke' change of wardrobe.
What am I supposed to say? 'Hi my name is Jodie, I like watching sunsets, taking long walks on the beach, oh and I'm smoking hot'?

My thoughts exactly. Except that we are allowed to bring along two more squadmates, which is good. ^^

I figure this is as good a place as any...

I think I'm actually going to dip a toe in the MMO world* and join SW:TOR after I get back from my Christmas trip.  I know K was playing the beta; I was wondering if any more of ya are in there?  Or going to be?

Any "getting started" hints?

I am really not sure about continuing to play. ^^; Problem is that a part of me wants it badly but another, bigger one is terrified of the time and effort I am gonna invest into the game--seriously, I spent an entire weekend completing the Prologue of one of eight frigging classes.

It's not really that difficult to get into. ^^; The gameplay is quite simple, as long as you don't ignore sidequests and keep upgrading your skills. Also, don't shy away from joining other people's parties on the fly, especially when entering new areas. It's more fun working with others and the loot is better. ^^

Been reading Dragon Age: Asunder yesterday, it's quite interesting. ^^ Even more so in absence of other news about DA3... >__>

Spoiler: Early chapters • show
There is a scene at an Orlesian ball, where an apostate tries to kill the Divine. The new character, Templar Evangeline, kills him after some struggle. Leliana was at that ball, too, but she was lured out before the mage revealed himself. I couldn't help thinking that had she been there, he would have died before casting a single spell. :D You don't mess around with the woman who killed an Archdemon. 8)

Been playing Star Wars: The Old Republic a lot, I usually don't play MMOs but have really enjoyed this, probably in no small part because I love the KOTOR games and this is as close as I can get to a #3. Force leap and lightning in a game don't hurt either.

It's a great game, but feels very single-playery... I am reminded of a discussion I once had with Ombrenuit a few years ago, and how much I've changed since then :D

So, I have finally gotten my paws on Mass Effect 3... and the path into the game has been rocky. :D

First off, the delivery guy didn't come until afternoon, even though the game was loaded onto his car at 8 am. -__- And when he did come, he somehow failed to reach me and left the package in the shop downstairs, so I had to go get it.

Then, the game spent a felt hour installing itself and the free addons. :D

Then, I imported my ME2 saves to discover that my Shep's face won't import. O__o Apparently, it's a well known problem caused not by ME3 itself but by ME2 messing up the savegames... So I went to the net and manually analyzed the save files to restore Shep's face in ME3 when prompted.

Then I watched the looooooong unskippable prologue scene to discover that the old bug where you can't save new player profiles if your My Documents folder has been moved hasn't been fixed since ME2, so I had to move My Docs back to default location, watch the looooooong scene again, save, exit, move My Docs to where they belong, start game, load it, and then it was all good again. :D

Once the technical difficulties are past, I find ME3 quite enjoyable thus far. ^^

I am sure any Mass Effect fan will appreciate this gem:

Spoiler: No spoilers here, just hiding for size • show
Garrus: Alright, my turn. What's the first order an Alliance commander gives at the start of battle?
    Joker: Uh... I give up.
    Garrus: Correct!
Joker: All right, big guy. What do you call it when a turian gets killed by a horrible spiky monster?
Garrus: Friendly fire. Come on, that one goes back to Shanxi.
    Joker: Gotta respect the classics.
Garrus: How many humans does it take to reactivate a dormant mass relay?
Joker: 602. 600 to vote on it, one to ask the asari for technical help, and one to request a seat on the Council afterward.
Joker: How do you know a turian is out of ammo?
Garrus: He switches to the stick up his ass as a backup weapon.
Garrus: Why does the Alliance hire pilots with brittle bone disease?
Joker: You're shitting me! The turian military has one about me?
Garrus: Oh, absolutely. I heard it myself from a private back on Palaven.
Joker: All right, why DOES the alliance hire pilots with brittle bone disease?
Garrus: So their marines can beat someone in hand-to-hand drills.
Joker: Pft! Damn, you need to tell James that one.
Joker: Hey, what's the hardest part about treating a turian that took a rocket to one side of his face?
Garrus: Figuring out which side took the rocket.

These guys nail all the problems with ME3 ending on the head so hard, someone at BioWare must have gotten an internal bleeding. ^^;

BioWare plans to release an extended ending for ME3 as a free DLC this summer. Let's wait and see whether this is gonna be the Author's Saving Throw...
