The .hack//GU games are being remastered for the PC and PS4!

And here I thought this franchise was super dead. Nice of them to bring it back. Next up, the originals maybe?

Oh, maybe I'll be able to play all the .hack games for a reasonable price after all.. That's strange that they didn't start with the original set of games though.

Indeed. I think the GU games sold better back in the day. I assume that's why they started there.

I'm guessing because it's the 10th anniversary of GU and 2017 is the year the story is set they decided to go ahead with GU.

Trailer  at the end we got a brief glance at Haseo in what looks like actual in-game engine (or per-rendered at the least) it looks like they did indeed tweak the design.  Not as drastic as an art shift as I was concerned with, that makes me happy.   Also they do have the English voices which makes he hopeful this will see a stateside release.

.Hack//G.U. Last Recode is $20 off right now if anyone's interested. I'll probably pass since I want the PS4 version but it seems like a good deal. :)
