Doesn't that have a "u" in it?

Nah, I just don't find any enjoyment in acting mean towards virtual characters. :)

Hah! My virtual character can 0wn3s your virtual character  :D

Surely you've played an evil character in Baldur's Gate? At least once? With the flaming fist spawning at every area...hehehe...poor stupid creatures...

Nope, Baldur's Gate I've played twice - once as a NG HE fighter and once as a paladin. Just loved the mad statz of the latter. :D

I usually go F/T in dungeons & dragons and d&d-based games, but lately I seem to be playing  clerics a great deal...I admit, I've played a pallie once, but it was rather boring. Aforementioned roomie plays nothing but pallies, and while a party full of pallies would be quite useful statistically, as a role-playing environment it'd be insufferable :P

Nah, I disagree that a pal-only party makes sense: they'd severely handicapped in ranged/magical combat, at least, at low-levels (and BG has a level cap of 7). Plus, IIRC there's only one other pal in BG that can join the player party. ^^ Anyhow, I liked playing and role-playing paladins before, until I realized that their class effectively robs them of free will, which I didn't like. I like doing good things (towards virtual characters) but only if I have a choice of messing it all up. That's why I loved the dynamic alignment system of KotORs. %)

Lol. I always stick assiduously to an alignment, I've even managed to play CN without vacillating (which is sort of against the whole idea of CN, but oh well). I never found pallies that bad at ranged combat in bg - I seem to recall it being a bit imba in favour of a ranged fighter but a ranger or pallie similarly equipped wasn't that bad. Lack of spells might be a problem, I grant you, though defensive spellcasting was not nearly as important in bgI as in bgII. But six pallies can easily match the healing power of a cleric, in any format at any level, and

Yes, only one (very annoying) pc pallie in bg (Ajantis), and only one in bgII (Keldorn, unless you count Mazzy, on whom I modeled a halfling f/c later on, who is now my main dungeons and dragons character) but I was thinking multiplayer. Aforementioned roomie and I were going to go through bgII this summer as Piro and Largo from megatokyo. I hope he's still up for it...

I've seen lots of ways of inflating one's post count, but pointing out other people's spelling mistakes is a new one.

Mean? In KOTOR I spared those Sand People the horror of having to live through the second coming of Darth Revan. Pretty merciful, methinks. ;)

And does that mean you find enjoyment in being mean to flesh and blood people?

And made the rest of the galaxy suffer it, knowing that the Sand People escaped this fate? You are one wicked person. ::)

I'll just leave that question unaddressed... %)

Sorry, force of habit - both my parents were English teachers - but for the record, that was an honest question! I can merge a couple posts by way of compromise - I'll just stack up a few typos and shoot them all at once at the end of a month :D

Well, you may as well be consistent - if one must be a villain, one might as well be a classical villain. For one thing, they look way cooler...

IMO hiding one's motivation, whatever it is, is more badass. %)

If being a goodie good taught me something it was to never trust the self-acclaimed big bad villain! ;)

I thought that was a job requisite, not something you learn...
