Animania

So, I was browsing Minitokyo when I found a scan from http://www.animania.de/, a ...german? magazine on anime. Anyone here subscribe or anything? Or speak german. Seriously, if anyone would be willing to get that issue, I think we'd all really appriciate it. That and scans. Lots of scans.

That site sure is impudent: not only it requires JavaScript to open at all, but also cookies. :-/ I've bought the magazine before, I'll see what I can do.

Negative on the last post: I've ran through all stores that sell magazines in the vicinity and only about a half of them knew what "Animania" is at all. From the way I put that last statement, you should conclude that none had a copy for sale. And the local Geek Store was closed. :-\

--edit--

Apparently, the series has been licensed in Germany by Anime-Virtual... that is SO frakked up, if you ask me: Madlax is STILL not licensed back here, and Cazzy has never been licensed in English...  >:(

Maybe it's because the main villain is German?

Heh, that maybe. And Madlax is neglected because half of the main cast are French. :D

 Not French, Nafrecian! :D Say, if you, or anyone else, buy the German release could you tell us about the DVD extras and available subtitles? I don't suppose they'd include English subtitles huh? ^^;

They've got the Eiffel Tower, so they're French. 8)

Well, if I ever do, which I probably won't, that'd be no trouble at all. %)

Nah, Germans don't like English language.

Crud! If Cazzy were to get licensed in Germany I'd be kicking myself for not sticking with German class in high school. ;D

Not entirely content with how they translated "yuigon attara, dozo" but who am I to complain. :D

"Strange" is the word that fits best for that German dub if you ask me...  ::)

Well, I found it OK... but as the previous studies (particularly considering the German dub of Noir) have pointed out, my opinion on quality of German dubs cannot serve as a universal reference. %)

IMO the German dub that I like has yet to come.  ;)

To me it sounded like the 1000 other low-cost German anime dubs, I mean, come on, even the word order is messed up and it sounds SOOO fake!
