El Cazador German Dub
« on: August 01, 2008, 12:05:39 AM »
 As you might have heard a while ago, El Cazador was licensed... in Germany. ^^; Well, I was just wandering around youtube and found a few samples of the dub! It's hard for me to form an opinion on it, since I'm not familiarized with German at all, but I'm posting those bits here just in case anyone else (who might even actually understand it) is curious. :)

Omggg now I really wish ADV would pick it up. >:(
What am I supposed to say? 'Hi my name is Jodie, I like watching sunsets, taking long walks on the beach, oh and I'm smoking hot'?

Well the German dubs aren't really good, I must say, they sound too far away from "casual" speech, especially in the first video. The same thing applies to the German Noir dub, too, by the way.  :-\

 Heh, I guess dubs can rarely make justice to the original, regardless of language... ^^; Hopefully, the translation is accurate enough though. :P

 But I'm with UNtrue, I'm still really hoping for an English release, and I'm counting on ADV!

I'm keen on the English dub too.

From the El Cazzy parts Marta showed, I felt Nadie was not casual enough, but Ellis and LA was fine :)

Haven't listened to it (don't like dubs) but the resolution is fantastic - about twice as large as the AonE.

And the worst part is that they STILL haven't licensed Madlax back here. :-\

Yeah, I second that. But Noir had it easier in the aspect, since it didn't really pretend to be casual, with its drama and angst galore. Cazzy, on the other hand, lives and dies by the cheesy tones interspersed with serious themes.

Heh, I guess dubs can rarely make justice to the original, regardless of language... ^^;

Well, I probably mentioned before but the only good dub I encountered was a German one (of X TV, no less)...

Hopefully sometime in my lifetime that they have a English version.

I'm betting on sometime in my lifetime (a) learning Japanese and (b) having enough money to buy that version, which is a much more probably combination. Then I'll make a sub if you still want it :D

 I would buy your sub! ^^ I would buy anyone's English sub release on DVD, as long as Bee Train is profiting from it! :)
