Licensed?? Maybe.
« on: August 11, 2008, 07:26:17 PM »
ANN just reported that FUNimation and a Japanese production company by the name of "d-rights" has been issuing takedown notices for a variety of titles:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-08-11/3-titles-fansubs-pulled-on-behalf-of-japan-d-rights

...and, Cazzy is one of the titles in the FUNi/d-rights agreement (though it's unclear that there are any takedowns issued for this one in particular)

It also doesn't mean that FUNi is actually going to distribute it, but it makes it way more likely.

Interesting turn of events if so.  I suppose that means no sock-puppet videos of Jodi throwing forks (and/or tacos) around an office in Houston...

Well, hope they release it soon if they mean to do anything, although funimation seems to be licensing everything these days, even sub-par stuff like Shigurui...hope they don't get into trouble.

Aw, poo. :(

But yay, I guess, if it's licensed!

What am I supposed to say? 'Hi my name is Jodie, I like watching sunsets, taking long walks on the beach, oh and I'm smoking hot'?

Not a sure sign at all, but it's a lot better than nothing! ;D I won't get my hopes up too high, but I will start to set aside money for a Cazzy fund. Glad to see Bamboo Blade's part of that list, also a must buy for me.

YAY! ^^ I say it's about time someone at least expresses an interest on a English sub release! It's a bit of a pity there won't be a sock puppet extra to link the trilogy, but at this point I'm just happy enough that someone is willing to license it! Definitely a must buy for me! ;D

Hooray its licensed, certainly have a big interest in buying it. The hard part is finding room on my desk to put the box  :D

Well, since it's ADV's in joke, complete with subtle ADV voice actor publicity, I doubt FUNimation would do it. If they did it would have to be something completely unrelated to the previous two, which is part of the joke, I guess. :-\ Not that the sock puppet extra was that good to begin with, but it was an extra silly piece of fandom to look forward to.
