It did cost me some time to find a first generation P99 in good shape for a reasonable price. This is from 1999 and was preowned by a hunter who didn't hunt. He had made the hunting license only because his friends had one. I doubt if this one had fired a package of ammo (50 shot) before I got it.
While it is mostly like Mireilles P99, it has an important difference - it lacks the threaded barrel for the suppressor. Civilians aren't allowed to own suppressors for their firearms in Germany. An exception for hunters has been introduced around 2 years ago - they may put suppressors at their rifles, but not at their handguns.
