When you were pondering about "Does the fork joining the warrior and aesthete truly exist?" for Hyouge Mono, you think

Spoiler: Noir spoiler • show
Of course it does, Kirika (aethete) put that fork into Chloe (warrior).

Oh my goodness, you've awakened the pervy beast in my dark soul. :D

You subconsciously play 'The World' in your dream.

You want to write an academic paper involving Bee Train anime.

While working on my brother's wedding video I thought "You watch Bee Train, you know how to put music and pictures together"

You think the new year would be a good time to finally bust open the Noir Bluray set and give it a watch for the first time to kick off a GWG rewatch... but you don't have Madlax or El Cazador de la Bruja Bluray sets, so it wouldn't be "fair."

Welcome back to the forum Teufel. If only there was a Madlax and El Caz blu-ray. I need a bluray player that can play american blurays :P

Welcome back? I never really left, because I was always right here *points at your heart*

I've thought about looking for a region free player because so many reviews of the US releases are "it sucks for various reasons, release in country X is perfect."

Although does Bluray really benefit animation? The answer to that is irrelevant to whether I actually buy Bee Train releases, naturally.  ;D

Bluray can benefit anime if it's HD to begin with or if it's remastered from its original format.  Noir was remastered from its original 35MM Print so the Bluray looks really nice, otherwise your getting an upscale of probably the tape made for broadcast.

Aww that's sweet, my problem is I don't have a player that plays American blu-rays, but it's still nice to have a Blu-ray copy of Noir :)

Yeah, for the reasons Alex mentioned, Noir is better suited to conversion than the fully digital anime made later.

I thought of Bee Train (and BTF  :D) while playing the 'Elerians' in Master of Orion because they say they are a species where females are the leaders and warriors and the males are a caste of philosophers.

Gondul and Hildr are the True Noir, two battle maidens who govern death. They are the primordial extremes of the human essence. They are fire and ice. Together, they produce more than water—the means so life can prosper in the face of desolation.
