Who's Talking?
« on: July 20, 2005, 06:19:51 PM »
I can really use your help gathering content!  If you know any forums or blogs that are (or had been) specifically discussing or reviewing any Bee Train series, I'd like to link to them from the main Series pages.

If you know of any such sites, please post a link as a reply to this message.  For forums, make sure you link to the beginning of a relevant thread.  For blogs, if they have a Category link for the series, link to that, otherwise link to the home page.  If a forum has many many threads, then link the main page and a couple of examples of what you think the best threads are.

Please note what series they're talking about, what the general tone of the posts are (positive, neutral, unhappy, bashing), and if there are spoilers.

Feel free to plug your own content!  I know I will be soon enough!

Here's an example post:

AnimeSuki's Forum: http://forums.animesuki.com/

Dedicated threads for many series, all of these have mixed reactions and discussions, spoilers, redundant info, and other content informative or otherwise.  Usually the mods combine any stray threads into the main dedicated thread.  Mostly followers of a series from the fansubs through the licensed releases; sometimes detractors or critics pop in.

Noir: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=10539

Madlax: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=11041

Avenger: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=574

Meine Liebe: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=21260

Tsubasa Chronicle: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=24346

.hack//SIGN: http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=1616

Anyway, I'm sure there's more.

Hi! We have a thread on Noir at http://www.misoanimeclub.org/forum/. Look in the 'Completed Series Discussion' forum. Not a whole lot of content there but I hope that helps you out a little.

There's occasional discussion of Bee Train Anime on the Anime Academy forums but a lot of it isn't exactly positive. One of the more esteemed members there is enjoying Madlax there, claiming it's what Noir should've been. Eh, at least he likes Madlax.

I can't believe I never noticed this!  :o :o :o

I hope it's not too late to make a new post, but:

Noir--A very confusing question--A huge--possible the biggest--Noir thread on Shoujoai.com. Very, very analytical and informative.

Canta Per Me--THE definitive Yuki Kajiura fansite. If information exists about Kajiura and her projects, someone on Canta Per Me has translated and/or included it.

Kirika's Place--Kavi's Noir site. He goes into really in-depth analysis and FAQ about every Noir episode.

Dot Hackers--THE definitive .hack site. If information on .hack exists, it's likely here.

Sea Slugs anime blog--I just realized they only cover up to episode 18, but they have pretty comprehensive reviews of Madlax episodes. Plus, mouseover captions!

Am I supposed to just walk up to someone and say 'Hello. My name's Kirika. I kill people in my spare time'?

Taco taco tacosu has a whole new meaning now. Thanks, Kakashi.

correction - almost every. There's a few episodes I (a) never got around to uploading notes for or (b) never got around to uploading or (c) never got around to. But that is the plan.

Thanks for the shoujoai.com link, btw ^^

Bumping up this thread three years later!

In honor of Bee Trains big 15th birthday I created a Six Part Retrospective/Review  It's mostly still photos to avoid a lot of hassle with YouTube copyright flags, but there are some brief video clips burried in a couple of these.  These are mostly my own opinions of course so don't be surprised you might not agree with everything but I do acknowledge this in the very end.   This does contain a hefty amount of spoilers so watch at your own risk.

if you want the abridged music video version just watch this Spoiler Free and features Great Tunes!

These are old but I rate them (maybe a little harsh on El Caz):

Wanderlust GwG reviews

Noir review
Madlax review
El Cazador Review

This blog is brand new, I like it.

With the recent demise of studio Manglobe I saw a couple of people wondering what ever happened to Bee Train.
